Beyonce to Perform at 2016 MTV Video Music Awards: Report

Beyoncé fans may be in for a surprise at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards. The singer will be performing at this year's VMAs, a source tells Billboard.

The news has also been reported by the Los Angeles Times, which wrote that "Beyoncé has been in top-secret rehearsals" for the show.

Billboard has reached out to Beyoncé's rep and MTV for comment.
Bey, with her visual album Lemonade, is in for a big night: she's nominated for 11 awards at 2016's ceremony.
Confirmed performers at the 2016 MTV VMAs include Rihanna -- who will bring the opening number -- as well as Britney Spears, Future, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Nick Jonas with Ty Dolla $ign and the Chainsmokers with Halsey.
The VMAs air on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 9 p.m. ET (8 p.m. CT) on MTV.
