BREAKING: Why I Shunned Buhari’s National Council Of State Meeting – Obasanjo Releases Heart Breaking Statement

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed why he was unable to attend the National Council of State Meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Obasanjo, speaking exclusively to Post-Nigeria, through one of his media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi on Wednesday, September 7, explained that the former President traveled to Kenya for a summit.
He said: “Obasanjo is not in the country as I speak, he traveled to Kenya for an important submit and will be back soon.”
He added: “Anybody is free to speculate why ‘baba’ is not in the meeting to heat up the polity, but the fact remains that the former president is out of the country. If he was around, he could have graced the occasion.”

Meanwhile, only three past Heads of State are present in the meeting. They include; Chief Ernest Shonekan, Dr Goodluck Jonathan and General Abdulsalam Abubakar.
Conspicuously absent are General Yakubu Gowon, General Ibrahim Babangida and Alhaji Shehu Shagari.
Meanwhile, there was a mild drama today at the Council of State meeting as photographers and cameramen ‘abandoned’ President Buhari for his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan.
While Buhari was leading other former leaders to the meeting venue, cameramen and photographers focused on Jonathan for about one minute while Buhari, Osinbajo, governors and other officials in attendance remained standing.
